Not really sure why everyone is so afraid of hired help. Just treat them how you want to be treated. Remember, they come to do a job and there wages have nothing to do with your profitability. Employees should get steady raises every year to reward for a good job regardless of how the business does financially. Paying a fair wage is different in every situation, but wages alone are not why employees stay at a job long term. Wages usually are just one reason to get them to start working for you.
