Have you tried to put jumper cable to the starter, by pass the solenoid .....I made a wrench from 2 cheap sockets, the main one a 9/16 and the other one any one as small....took and laid them side by side and welded them together... it works better if the 9/16 is ground shorter than the other......this works similar to the special wrench, using a long extension and having to take off and reposition each time....Oh yes can you remove the solenoid without removing the starter, you can on a 4040 and a 4230 with denso starter....
