SE South Dakota | Likely company policy to shut off the engine at stops. If you think about how many trucks and how many stops a day the fuel savings would add up.
It could also be a safety thing.
The police in my local town just leave the car running, no matter how long or short the time is that they are away from the car. Winter spring or summer, doesn't seem to matter. Makes no sense to me but each officer does not fill the tank on his dime, so what's it matter to him! | |
