I think I read once where "locally grown" was defined as being grown within 100 miles of where it was sold. Not exact "local" in my book. Maybe that is why you see a push to buying from farmer's produce stands, and local farmers markets. However, I have seen - and personnally know of - farmers with on-farm produce stands who go to the produce auction to buy produce, bring it home and sell it at their on-farm stand. Yeah, "it's farm-grown".
