Subject: RE: JD 750 Drill Seed Press wheels

central - east central Minnesota -

Downwardspiral - 3/10/2011 15:00 I am working on a 750 no till drill and have several mismatched seed press wheels, along with a fair amount of slop in the arms that hold the wheels. What would be the pros and cons of taking them off and replaceing them with Keeton seed firmer s? anyone ever do this and regret it? Thanks for the help!

I am switching my seed press wheels and the plastic guide thing to what Phil Needham offers . . .  Bonilla seed tab and his tapered narrow press wheels.

If the arms are worn badly (mine are not, so I not experenced there), I would consider new bushings in them, as they need to be tight ..  .

Is there wear (oblong hole worn in the middle hole) where the seed boot connects to the main arm ?
