central - east central Minnesota - | mikado - 1/21/2011 10:41 Any ideas on why after setting a few days the truck would run fine for a day before giving me problems? If the PMD is bad wouldn't it cause the engine to kill whenever it needs more fuel than just idleing? No, what I've been told, that's the odd thing about diagnosising the problem . . . there is no consistancy - untill it leaves you stranded somewhere out in the middle of now where . . . It's not uncommon for new PMD's to be bad either. Going to a experence pump shop or machanic understands how PMD's work (or in this case, don't work). If you machanic is willing to try a pmd and then go into the pump if the pmd doesnt' work, I'd take that chance. The new pmd will work with a rebuilt pump and the new pmd should be mounted off the pump anyway . . . . |
