I'll add my 2cents:

Seems like the people he is dealing with are not good at keeping their word. I would be VERY upset with that part of this situation. I have a severe problem with people that don't stand by their word ---even if it cost them $$$.

I would agree with fvfarmer on the freight charge under these circumstances. Would be willing to pay the freight for a speedy fix but several days later is NOT a SPEEDY repair when its still setting outside when they told him they would get it in the same day they picked it up(or MAY start on it)--either way ,get right on it.

As far as freight charges, all that I deal with charge it. For those that don't get charged , is your dealer higher on across the counter parts as in is freight figured in on ALL parts and discounted off if it is in stock? One dealer we check with is usually 10% higher on his parts. Don't do business with him so not sure how he handles parts orders.
