Ethridge, TN
Just about darn near everything gets done in house here, but there are cases when one has to be able to get original equipment parts, and it might have just been that hoe.

It was time to rebuild the under carriage, and there is just next to nothing available in the aftermarket line for it. The big kicker was new drivers for the tracks, plus the rollers are an odd duck. Was able to locate the rails after market, but that was it, rest needed to be from JCB, and the JCB dealer didn't have them in stock. Had to come across the big pond, and would be reliant on when enough orders had been placed thru distribution, to justify a container on a boat. Air Ship, I think I could have flown cheaper than what they wanted to fly those parts. Just to top it all off, the price on those things was exactly double, what a comparative size kitty was. Probably why we are now using a Kitty ! ? ! ? ;-)

If they are building these things in GA now, it might not be the problem that the excavator was, but that experience lingers in the back of ones mind, that you'd sure want proof this was not going to become the same headache. Nothing ever breaks, unless you are needing it, right now.
