Subject: RE: Telehandlers JCB 520?

Modena, Wisconsin

Dealer two miles from me has JCB.  I haul machinery for them when I'm not busy in the fields.  They have many telehandlers out but mostly 541's and a couple 524's.  Most of the time parts are in within 3-4 days at most.  Only a couple times I can remember a longer wait and that was internal parts for either engine or transmission.  They also have a number of the skid steers out and it has been the same story with them on parts.  Longest wait I can remember is for the main wiring harness for a 541 that took about 3 weeks.  Mechanic was able to hotwire all the critical systems to keep the customer going until the new harness showed up.  I think the main reason for lead time was it was a very low usage item.  I have hauled several of them that were well used by the hired help and still kept on going.

I use one regularly for loading the truck and rent one for handling seed during planting season and really like the JCB's.  I know the little 524 gets around like a skid steer with better lifting capablility.
