I have fixed them using "Panel Bonder" that body shops use to glue quarter panels on cars with. Just sand it really well with 80 grit and clean with lacquer thinner and will last forever.
Kinda spendy to buy the whole tube but if you have a body shop you are on good terms with, flip them 5 bucks to get enough to fix your leak. Maybe a dozen doughnuts will cover the bill. LOL
I think you could glue the gates of hell closed with panel bonder.
