Shifting problem, not very long from new, was from shifting at an angle. It doesn't take many times crawling under the tractor with a Crescent wrench for a guy to remember to not shift it loke a Muncy 4 spd. Stop completely, and turn the steering wheel back and forth to shift easier. Only problem we have with final drives is the washer next to the needle bearings wear when we run on a slope pulling a scraper. Have never turned them from one side to the other. There is a grease fitting on the shift tower, where the gear shift meets the floor. With the old Versy turn the steering wheel at the end of the field and hold it to raise the implement quicker. Turning the steering wheel back and forth robs the hyd system output, until 1980 or so when they came out with two hyd pumps.
