Martinsville, Ohio | That's why I don't figure them. You wouldn't believe how much flower, bean and pod abortion goes on, could be over half so the high yield guys are trying to keep the pods and fill them up with all kinds of foliar treatments.
2.5 beans per pod would be high in a lot of fields this year, and too many flat pods and now SDS is in there.
I don't even do those counts anymore John, they are so far off, in a good year you can get pretty close but this isn't one of those years if there ever is anymore! Too darn variable!
