| Fencepost got it right and about as simple as can be stated. The 3 phases have to be 120 out of phase.
I have to say I am curious what would happen when you dumped the wildcard phase in from the generator. It could be nothing or maybe an impressive spark display.
Take the motor to a motor shop. I think they one we use is a 40-50 dollar minimum which isn't bad to properly check a motor out. Any work they do after that adds up kinda quick. | |
