I mentioned this on a homesteading type forum, and how it could affect sugar production & costs.

They instantly came up with 3 good things coming from it:

1. Less sugar in the food supply will lower health care costs.

2. Less govt dollars spent on sugar subsidy.

3. It will free up a lot of acres for food production.

This is what we have come to in the USA.
