This has bigger implications.....

There are several fringe groups very opposed to sugar from corn - fructose. Want that basically banned as well.

The cane sugar fields in Hawaii & Florida are pretty much shutting down as well. Development in one, EPA issues in the other.

If beets are messed with, we face a sugar shortage.

This will open up importation from other countries.

Which will end sugar production in the USA.

Another industry outsourcesd from the USA and we wonder why we have ecconomic problems.
