I feel for the ad hominem attacks that researchers in this field have to endure.

There is a lot of climate research done in western Canada tracing climate back over the post glacial period.

First , I think the old Vermont farmer in the Reader's Digest said it best "The average varies a lot"!

It tees me off when Enviroment Canada speaks of "Average " weather and in the fine print you find it is the average of the last 30 years! All the historical records from before 1700 are ignored as we are lead to believe every weather occurence is "unprecedented".

And the post glacial record- Temperature extremes, decade long droughts and the offsetting "wet" periods.

Man's lifetime is too short to allow him to speak of trends or changes- he can only give anecdotal evidence of a mere fingers snap of time.
