Apparently the Deere doesn't have a minimum pressure setting? I haven't worked with the RC personally but my Brown Box in my 4720 has a minimum pressure setting to handle a situation such as you have described. I''m surprised that they don't have a setting for such a situation. Possibly there is such as setting but this would require an electronic pressure transducer which may be more trouble than its worth.
The suggestion of creating a minimum flow mechanically should work as long as the system has a way to stop the pump via another valve controlled by a separate switch. This must be the case as you are running in Fast rather than Fast Close.
Mechanically setting a low limit without the ability to stop the pump via another method could cause problems in certain situations. For example, suppose you ran the tank dry (never a good idea but happens), you need a way to stop the pump.
I assume that I could add a pressure sensor into the system like you suggested but I am not sure it it would show up on the display like in your 4720, that along with the fact that there isn't much help from Deere because the 854 in not an "approved platform" makes me want to just keep it simple. |
