Really dumb question where do the crops get shipped ?
Is there a rail head or trucks only or trucks to Columbia river?
Also whats land prices in that area running .
Really like the pictures .
Thanks
JB

All of our wheat and legumes go to the most inland seaport in the world at Lewiston, ID at the snake river. It is about 45 miles by truck to there and then it is on barges down through the locks and dams of the snake and columbia rivers. (much shorter dams than the one I showed pics of) Most of our crop is loaded on bigger barges at Portland, OR and is exported. Some is used domestically but not much. There is some grain moved by rail both eastward and westward but the barges take most of the northwest wheat crop to Portland.

Very little farmland bought and sold here after the 80s. I would say 2000/acre would probably be reasonable for farmland if it was sold.
