northwest missouri | NW Missouri - too wet - most all corn fields locally have lots of spots with poor stand or very small corn replanted into holes, some finished with beans but most have beans yet to plant - those planted are also suffering from too much rain, very little hay has been mowed - good two weeks behind there also. Behind last year, did get started earlier on corn than '09 but not looking as good - beans looks more like '08 at this time which did not turn out very well in the end. Been out of fields since June 1 and still to wet to mow or spray this morning and right now it is raining again, expect .5 - 1" out of this one and more on the way for weekend. | |
