Eastern NC | Looks like ya'll are doing a good job there. I am a flue-cured man so I am always amazed to see other styles of tobacco and the growing practices involved. Shortly after the end of the quota system there was a lot of interest in burley production around here and we tried it one year. It was two seasons in one for us because it was VERY different from what we knew. It was very dissapointing for us to work a burley crop all year and average a little less than 1800#/acre. Please share more as the season goes on. | |
