I'll second this. This is one of those times when I like off-the-shelf solutions and mass produced products. I have a dozen Kasa smart switches and smart plugs. No subscription. Can do schedules like turn on at sunset and turn off at 11 pm. They also integrate with Google Home and Amazon Alexa if you want.
