I have same planter as you and thought the same way. I finally dove in, it really isn't that bad.

Agleader will have a kit with everything in it, clutches, mounting plates, most all the wiring. Buy a John deere rate controller to control the agleader chain clutches. Agexpress made me a harness to connect the rate controller to the agleader harness, they have done 100's of these and was well aware of what I needed.

After 3 years I definitely do it again. Failure rate on the clutches seems to be higher than it should be. Year 1 all was fibe, year 2 changed 1 or 2 clutches. This year seems like it was 3
