NW KS | I think it is a wiring or plug issue too. I double checked on my FMX this morning and didn't see anything setting for the foot switch. Far as I know/remember that is all handled by the navII and as long as everything is correct should work. The switch should be open until pressed and takes a slight pause then release to activate. Footswitch will only turn on the steering. Override is handled by other sensors. Here is a link with some photos from the installation manual.
