East Central, Nebraska | ive never heard of such thing. now if your controlling your pivot from your phone every company has a subscription to one degree or another but not updates every couple years. i have had some fieldnets, net irrigates, and have have been using agsense for many many years (15+ i would estimate) and in that time i have seen cellular technologies come and go, in the agsense units we would just swap the modems out and they keep going, a few of the other companies we had to just throw the devices away but even with the agsenses id say every 6 or so years we see this, as for every couple, id ask someone to explain exactly what you are buying.
i have several renke pivots, but i do not use the rein cloud service, so i can not speak to that service specifically but constant additional costs would get frustrating.
edit, actually i guess that is not true, i have a landlord with 2 new reinkes on the reincloud platform and knowing him if they charged him any amount above the subscription then i would hear about it so once again i would ask lots of questions.
