East Central, MO | Reading thru the replies below, everyone else is on the right track. I assume (especially if you've talked to Ag Leader) that the 1500 needs slowed down to talk with the PF3000, especially if that 1500 was paired with an Integra. I believe last year, I had to dumb down a GPS 7000 to talk to a PF3000 too.
To do that, I believe you have to have a dual port mobile logging cable and null modem cable. I don't know that a regular dual port cable will do. The reason being is that power passes thru Port A, which powers up the receiver. No power passes thru Port B I believe, but if you have a dual port mobile logging cable, it has a Cig Power connector to let you supply power to Port B and get the receiver fired up.
You have to connect to Port B to make adjustments on Port A. Doesn't make sense, I know, perhaps someone more clever would have a good analogy for that. Once you disconnect the the cable from the receiver, it saves the settings, so when you plug it into your PF3000, it works. You can't adjust the GPS settings but it works. If you were to ever reconnect this 1500 back to an Integra or other new display, it would speed the receiver back up automatically and you would have to repeat this process to plug it back into the PF3000. | |
