Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I have had two different Trimble 750's through the years but have not experienced that problem. I do notice that when shutting them down sometimes, the back feels quite warm but they have not shown any problems due to heat. Judging by the rather massive heat sink on the back, I assume a fair amount of heat is expected to be generated.
These units do draw some current even when in the "off" state. This might explain why you are now having problems even when it seems to be shut off. Unplugging the power plug would ensure that it is really "off". Yours may have a problem with an internal component. I unplug my power plug if the tractor is going to be sitting for a long period to prevent battery drain.
Do you have a good solid connection to the vehicle batteries? The Trimble units are quite particular about good power. |
