Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Agree completely. As mentioned above with my two STS sprayers there is a disconnect point under the arm rest. By unplugging it and inserting a special Tee, the input from the switches gets to the Aux Input module and the output from the Liquid Product control module gets to the section valves. This cable uses the Switch Detect pin which is needed to prevent the 15 second delays that you have noticed. Both modules are housed in a box on the cab floor in the right forward corner.
By using this cable, the Ag Leader is "in the middle" of things and can control the section valves based on the switch settings, coverage map etc.
I don't know if the DTS series is wired that way but there is an adapter cable that is correct and uses the Switch Detect pin.
Just yesterday I was talking with the local agronomist at the Coop. He farms with his Dad and they use an Ag Leader with the Auxiliary Input Module, Liquid Product control module and the joystick switches in their Hagie DTS. He used to work as a Tech where I did. He was able to get the adapter cable for their DTS through Ag Leader.
