I have seen where you have said this before. How bad is it to use the clutch pedal? I realize this is not an old school tractor clutch. I think this powershift modulated the flow of oil to the clutch pack.
Your method of using just the shifter is not very fast and efficient. Example: Using 3pt implement like a mower or fertilizer rig. While running in 9th gear forward push clutch in, while it is still rolling ease on brake and shift to reverse. Once stopped let out clutch. Repeat when needing to back to forward.

I guess your way would be shift to neutral, stop tractor then drop it into reverse. Seems like it would be jumpy and not as much control.
