| Our Rem grain vac has been giving me nothing but problems. First and foremost is the auger can never seem to seal or close the gap between the bottom section and the middle section, so either the vac itself fills up with grain until it plugs or it pumps the grain out the gap between the auger tubes. Second problem is it keeps shearing off the roll pins that go through the ear collars to drive each section of the auger.
I just had to stick a bunch of money into new and machined parts to fix the gearbox after it broke a roll pin off with the auger full of wheat leading to a whole disaster that took the last two months to fix. What can i do to remedy these problems, aside from hauling it to scrapyard. | |
