In the diagnostics chart, it shows not present until the master switches selected On then boom turn on things light up green switch Master switch off things turn black temporarily and then it goes back to gray. I think I’m going to just run my ag leader Switchbox for now since I’m gonna be spraying in the near future with it. I was really just trying to get this set up to be able to utilize the foot switch. In the sprayer cause it sure is nice when you’re pulling up to A road ditch or something and you can click it off with your foot without having to take your hand off the Hydro, but we will manage for now until I can figure out another solution and possibly get that harness in to make it work properly

If you disconnect the harness to the Joystick switches and use the Ag Leader switch box, you will not have the delay issues since the Ag Leader switch box correctly uses the switch detect wire. This should work fine but would use the Master switch on the switch box as your overall Master switch.

You indicate that you would prefer to use a different Master switch such as a foot switch. This is really fairly easy as I have done this. In fact I have a working foot switch in my box of formerly used parts. I used one with a former sprayer myself but found that I prefer a hand switch. I would part with this foot switch but it may be easier just to purchase one at an auto parts store. You will need connections to the brown port on your Auxiliary Input Module. Since your other harness apparently uses the brown connector you might have some parts available already.

To utilize a foot switch in involves two steps: 1) physically installing the switch and 2) informing the system to watch that switch instead of the Master switch in the Ag Leader switch box.

1) The foot switch would be attached to the brown connector. The foot switch I used was a dimmer switch from an older car. Those switches typically have three terminals. One of the terminals is always connected to one or the other of the two remaining terminals. I will call that terminal Common. To determine which terminal is common, use a meter and check for continuity between the various combinations of two terminals. You should find one terminal that switches between the other two every time you step on the switch. That is the common terminal which you would connect to one of the E pins.

Connect the 12V pin in the brown connector to one of the remaining terminals on the foot switch. Connect the Switch Detect pin to the remaining terminal on the foot switch.

This means that the common terminal which goes to E1, E2, E3 or E4 will be connected to either the 12V pin or the Switch Detect pin. Each time you step on the switch the common will switch to the other and remain there until you step on the switch again.

Your diagnostic screen should then show this The E pin you have chosen will be either black or green. Each time you step on the switch if will change. Black means the switch was found but it is in the OFF position (connected to switch detect). Green means the switch was found and it is in the ON position (connected to 12V). This will update the switch detect chart properly. Give it at least 15 seconds so it performs the check again.

2) It is also necessary to inform the system that for this configuration you want it to watch the E input that you have chosen. In the upper right corner of the switch assignment screen you will see a box with the word SWITCH in it. SWITCH is the default and means to use the Master switch on the switch box. You must change that to E1, E2, E3 or E4 depending on which one you used. Then the system will watch the foot switch. The position on the Master on the Ag Leader switch box is not important because the system is not watching it anyway for this configuration.

It should certainly be possible to use the joystick switches as you originally intended with some trickery. The method described here of using the Ag Leader switch box with a separate foot switch should be very reliable.

For normal operation, you would likely just leave the section switches on the Ag Leader switch box in the ON position. This would allow auto swath to turn them OFF as it deems appropriate. Your foot switch could guarantee that all sections would be OFF for water ways etc. Once past them, you would step on the switch again which would allow auto swath to determine which sections should come back ON.
