Cullom, Illinois | Local cattle feeders meeting to the north of me always has the same speaker. He’s always kind of cutting edge or the next big thing. He suggested we fence all the corn stalks, buy bred cows, sell the calves at two weeks old as bottle babies, and sell off the cows bred back two months later. Then do it all again next fall/ winter. No need for pasture as you have no cows all spring/summer. The “drive my new truck I’m going to trade in a year to be ceramic coated into town” guys would go nuts! | |
