Subject: Get a motorized ON/OFF ball valve

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
When I worked as a Sprayer Tech, I installed repair kits on literally hundred's of those 144 On/Off valves. They were popular since there weren't many other options. They were a constant source of problems but they were relatively cheap.

This may bring replies of "I have used them for years without a problem". Those folks are the exception.

Now many companies offer motorized ball valves. They are more expensive but are well worth the cost since they are reliable. They will generally require an extra "hot" wire to be run to the valve so the motor has power available at all times to open and close the ball valve.

Another tip - get rig of those galvanized fittings in a spray system. You likely had them lying around but get some decent modern "plastic" type fittings when you install your new motorized ball valve.
