Subject: RE: Viper 4+

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I use a Hagie with a front mounted boom and an Ag Leader system. My screen depiction shows me (a triangle) with the boom ahead of me which is correct.

The depiction shown here seems to show the boom behind which would seem to be correct also for that sprayer.

Possibly there is some confusion in the measurements that have been entered as far as how various points on the sprayer relate to the reference point. Different systems do this different ways but they must all "know" how the boom, wheelbase etc. relate to the GPS location.

With the Ag Leader system at least, there are adjustable "lead times" that can be changed. These relate to how much lead time is necessary to get the valve open and how long it takes for the spray to reach the ground. With sprayers, the ground speed may be quite fast which could affect the lead time more than with other equipment.

In some situations, the distance measurements are purposely "fudged" to change this lead time/place.
