NW Ohio, near Findlay | I watched a few experts running cameras. The good ones the big cities has works good, they have different heads, basically to stay above any water and slug, and have good distance counters. The basic ones we can buy and afford don't work good in tile with corrugation, non smooth tile. If plugged with water, can't see anything.
I sure would like to buy one, have a job that I don't know where the tile goes. May try a locating firm and see if they can get a snake with locater on it, maybe get close to the problem. I know who made the problem, the cable company running new line, but can't prove it yet. Working with them, if I can find the exact spot where the problem is, they will dig it up, not me.
Directional boring new fiber cable in our area is a constant problem. They are running, boring, pulling a bundle of four conducts connecting these data centers all over Ohio. They go along the right of ways, whether there is room or not and try missing the cables that already in the ground. Most of the time they get in done, but local phone, cable companies hate them. When installing these new conducts, there solution is go deep, under poles, under sewers in small towns that has city sewers. The big problem is see is when we as farmers, excavators, have to deal with them, hard to verify depth. Hard to get them to locate it, not even sure who is paying the bill to install it. Ask the company out of state who is paying, they don't know, some say Facebook and Spectrum.
