| There was a 4640 quad when I started working for the state at the prison farms, pretty nice tractor, didn't have a whole lot of hours since the 4430 was used more, basically all it did was chop and pull a 3 point field cultivator.
When the prison farms closed, I knew that JD Equipment only gave $2200 to the state for the 4640. I needed a bigger tractor of my own and called the salesman and told him I knew how much they gave, and I offered him 12k for it. He laughed and said absolutely not. Needed $22,500 for that tractor.
Went and bought a 7060 Allis instead and don't regret it one bit | |
