WNY | I am not a 6.5 hater at all but I wouldnt pick one to tow with. If you want cheap tow horsepower get a 12v or 7.3 powerstroke. I prefer dodges mainly because of the cummins engine and manual transmission combos.
Without knowing a price there could be a million different answers. 14k goosenecks are a dime a dozen, I ran one for years hauling hay equipment etc. Flexed like a sonofabitch especially with round bales. I upgraded to a 20k cornpro with duals and torque tube this year and it takes alot to make that thing flex. I would think if your hauling hay minimum you would want a gooseneck 24' or more (I prefer 30') | |
