I know people who have stripped the splines from shutting off and turning back on full a lot. It’s a hard rule here to never shut it off full, and if it does have to happen, we turn it back on at low idle. We’ve broken grain bin auger flighting from turning off full too many times. I would think that’s definitely a potential cause with a combine as well
