northeast ohio | In response to golfnut, the TMX2050’s could, but longer can run Autosync because of security risks with its version of Android.
To OP, we updated a CFX750 to TMX2050 and now to GFX1260 in our sprayer, sometimes planter tractor. The GFX1260 move was because if Autosync, however we also seemed to have reached the TMX’s limits by running CenterPoint VRS Direct (hotspot), Autosync, NextSwath, and multiple FIQ modules. With some preloading of Precision IQ in advance you will like the processor speed including when moving between fields and tasks. Recently started using the Advanced Boundary functions including square headland. Like the GFX series quite a bit.
Note that updating cables for FIQ, receiver mounts and cameras will cost up to $900. Our NAV900’s for the 1260’s are High Acc (RTK), CAN Autopilot and NextSwath unlocked but we left the NAV3’s installed with their SAM200 motors for Autopilot Motor Drive. I absolutely don’t understand why PTx Trimble can’t just have two levels of steering unlocks. You can have a $3000 CAN AP unlock that won’t steer a Trimble SAM200 or 300 without another $1800 unlock. Worse yet, we would pay another $700+ to allow that same NAV900 to run a 20 year old EZ Steer. Higher levels should steer those below. IMHO, Level 1 steering has its own controller (NAV, EZSteer, EZPilot), Level 2 where the NAV900 is the controller such as CAN AP, AMPD or to an aftermarket valve driver for steering or WM control.
