Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Thanks for the progress report.

I'm unsure what to do. I have two of these flow meters. The first flow meter leaks slightly but is tolerable if the hose is properly supported and not deadheaded. The other one leaks unacceptably and I will experiment with it.

I took it to a local shop just yesterday and they confirmed that I have a mismatch between the thread pitch on the flow meter and the fitting (NPT) that I'm trying to use. The NPT coupler fitting starts to mate but after about one turn, it is not possible to tighten anymore by hand. We tried threading in a metal 3" NPT close nipple into the flow meter as a test. It had the same "feel" and would start but only hand tighten about one turn. This seems to further confirm that the mismatch is in the flow meter threads as suspected.

I may order one of the BST threaded Quick couplers I saw on line, to see if it mates 1) with my flow meter threads and 2) with my BanJo quick couplers. If so, I can then order more from that source to complete this project. If not, I would just be out the cost of that coupler.

Another local shop was suggested that I might explore.
