Subject: RE: Upgrading Planter- Drives and Row Shut Offs

NC Kansas
Yeah my deal was new meters/mini hoppers complete from Precision planting. New seed tube/sensors (I did not do the speed tube option) and I put 6 of the down pressure sensors across my 16 row so I could monitor ground contact. All this monitored through the cheaper 20/20 monitor (not the Gen 3) This was about 3 years ago so take my cost for what it's worth. My planter was in like new condition so other than, blades and seed shoes/firming points I did not have to sink more money into a major rebuild of parallel arms/gauge wheel pivots and things you might encounter on a "cheap" planter.

I'm not sure if V-set is just the name of the meters or what, and I know there are different options on deere vs case etc... so I'm not an expert, I just got what I wanted for my CaseIH and am very happy.
