East Central Arkansas | Wet and not getting planted when you would like is one thing. Over the years have seen things that seemed to be worse to me. I have seen thousands of acres of good looking crops lost due to flooding back waters from the river covering field. Have seen the lower end of a field covered with overflow water and the top end needing irrigation. Then there is the crop planted too shallow with moisture just under the seed and every rain goes around that field.
In 2011 it was it was near the end of May when the flood waters finally receded from our farm. Farm shop and headquarters had also been over 5 foot under water. That year made me look at things differently. Hang in there you will get it done. | |
