If you setup the 900 radio as a repeater using the receiver and display, then it will work as a stand alone repeater if you give it 12 volts power. You can also do this with a serial port on a PC if you make a harness to power and connect the serial pins in the 4 pin connector. However if you set it as a repeater that way it may not want to talk to the receiver next time you connect it. If it doesn't you can use Freewave's software to essentially wake it up and get it talking again.
