Have a field about two miles from my base that has rolling terrain and several thick groves of trees that mask the signal on north half of it. Can I set up a 3000 with radio on tripod at the south end where there is excellent signal and use it as a repeater? Would it be set up the same way as the manual described for “vehicle repeater”?
