Good input. I used to plant at 6.5 mph with my Super H Farmall in 4th gear wide open, but only on smooth as glass seed beds. When I planted over 30 K or in cloddy spring plowed manure spreader packed fields I backed off.

If I remember correctly the manual for my 7000 had a graph showing under planting at low speed and over-planting at high speed. 3-5 mph the sweet spot.
