South Plains of Texas | Have been around the organic thing. It's a lot of paper work getting certified. The cotton is a very volatile market. It will pay good one yr. and not so good the next. If your near a dairy and can get the manure the yields don't suffer so much. I don't believe the part about if they need to spray a field to save it from weeds they will. You can't spray anything on a field or you have to go back thru the 3 yr. program. Or at least that was the way it used to be. Organic peanuts are a lot more profitable. | |
