Subject: RE: JD 7000 6 Row markers

Northeast Indiana (Auburn)
S I Industries makes a 10lb weight that will bolt to you factory disc using three of the bearing retainer holes. You don't want to add much weight to the factory arm or you will be wearing out bearings. I used the stock solid disk with the S I weights and got by on bean stubble. The notched blades I have on my 7200 conservation 6 row planter work better but in real hard ground they will bounce enough to dig in to leave a mark but it is more of a -- -- -- intermittent mark. I have the solid arm markers.
