NW Missouri | I just finished my first season with a 35' FD70. Single knife. One issue I ran into was my new-to-me combine didn't turn real tight and 2 end rows wasn't really enough to turn around on. I plant with a 20' 8/15 Kinze, so on that 3rd endrow, I'd be cutting around 10' of endrows but the rest was regular rows. When I was running perpendicular to how the beans were planted, I had to slow down, or take less than a full swath, or my sickle would stop. The hyd drive couldn't handle cutting all the stems at once. That might be something that wouldn't happen with dual knives. | |
