I have had pilots license for near 50 years. Farmers do make pretty good pilots. They know the sound of a machine and what weather can do to you. Go for it if you want the challenge. It is way more expensive now. But really, not very useful. A lot of times, a person just can't go because of weather. That is hard when you have made other plans or an event.
