Because the fed appears to have inflation under control (without interest rates hitting 18%) - which means the 80's analogy is missing a key component in order to be accurate.
I didn't say it was here. I said it has lots of similar traits. A long ways from those days, but I'm a touch uneasy. But ludicrous? I don't think so.
