Lexan or plastic, once it is scratched it is done. A good glass shop should be able to cut you a new piece to fit.

I disagree. That's what a merchant wants you to believe.
Metal polishing paste contains a fine grit that works quite well to remove small scratches in plastic.
It also contains a clear coat to protect it and make it more shiny.
